My fellow traveller has vacated the bathroom after washing her hair, and it is my turn now. I am relaxing reading the first part of Danny Baker’s autobiography when I hear a call from outside, “have you seen the hairdryer anywhere”. I reply in the affirmative and give a precise location where it can be found. My companion replies “sorry I didn’t hear that, I had a finger in my ear, what did you say”.
Such are the trials and tribulations of travel in a foreign country.
