So, to catch up. There was free wifi at Leigh Delamere, but quite a few hoops to jump through to get connected so did not bother due to the time available.
Made it to the lunch stop with Gareth, Annie, Freya, Freddie and Gethin only a few minutes late due to unforeseen diversion in the Roydon area, and bad navigation skills of yours truly. Needless to say I was asked why I had made such inappropriate choices. Had a good family lunch with Gareth and the gang, then back to their house for tea and cakes. Even after all this, was asked a few times by Freya whether jelly would be required. Also passed on the offer of crisps and popcorn.
Gethin meanwhile being his charming self, cute and entertaining especially at bath time. Plenty of pictures taken.
Left them in peace around 6:45 and proceeded to the Cock Inn, Sheering (no food on Sundays) a pleasant enough old inn in the Essex countryside, with the smell of wood fire hanging in the air in the car park.
Now relaxing in the room, Strictly Come Dancing results show on the TV, devices are charging, and then it will be tea, ginger nuts and sleep !
